We are aware that protecting your privacy when using our website is a matter of great importance to you. We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. That is why we want you to know when we collect which data and how we use it. The purpose of this privacy policy is to inform you about our data protection measures.
Collection of personal data
Below, we provide information on the collection of personal data when you use our website. Personal data refers to any data that can be directly or indirectly linked to you personally, e.g. your name, address, email address and user behaviour.
We process data in accordance with Article 6(1)(a), (b), (c) and (f) of the GDPR. This means that we only process personal data if consent has been given (point (a)), where necessary for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (point (b)), where we are legally obliged to do so (point (c)), or where we have a legitimate interest in the processing (point (f)). The relevant legal basis will be specified in each individual case.
When you contact us by email or via a contact form, the data you provide (your email address, and where applicable your name and telephone number) will be stored by us in order to answer your questions. We will delete the data collected in this context once the purpose of the enquiry has been fulfilled. Depending on the nature of the enquiry, we collect this data with your explicit consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures in accordance with Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, or on the basis of a legitimate interest in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The legitimate interest in this context is to respond to enquiries and provide information about our products and services.
When using the website for information purposes only – i.e. if you do not register or otherwise provide us with information – only the data that your browser transmits to the server we use is collected. When you view our website, the following data is collected, which is technically necessary for us to display our website to you and to ensure its stability and security. This data is transmitted automatically by your browser and is inherent to the use of the internet. (The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR):

- Language and version of the browser software.
Data controller
Please refer to the legal notice for details of the data controller as defined in Article 4(7) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Uses
We will only use the personal data you have provided to supply you with the products or services you have requested, or for other purposes for which you have given your consent, unless there are legal obligations to the contrary.
Rights of data subjects
You have the following rights in relation to the personal data we hold about you:
- Right of access,
- Right to rectification or erasure,
- Right to restriction of processing,
- Right to object to processing,
- Right to data portability.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority regarding our processing of your personal data.
Right to withdraw consent or object to the processing of your data
If you have given your consent to the processing of your data, you may withdraw it at any time. Such a withdrawal will affect the lawfulness of the processing of your personal data from the moment you notify us of it.
Data retention
We store personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil our contractual, pre-contractual and post-contractual obligations. This does not affect your right to erasure or to restrict processing. Furthermore, this does not affect our right to continue storing the data where there are compelling legitimate grounds (Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR) or where there is a legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR). Legitimate interests include, in particular, the verification and enforcement of claims for damages and other claims.
Log files required for the stability and security of the system are automatically deleted after four days.
Use of cookies
In addition to the data mentioned above, cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive and associated with the browser you are using, and through which certain information is transmitted to the entity that sets the cookie (in this case, us). Cookies cannot run programs or transmit viruses to your computer. They serve to make the website more user-friendly and effective overall.
- This website uses the following types of cookies; their scope and how they work are explained below:
- Transient cookies (see b)
- Persistent cookies (see c).
- Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. These include, in particular, session cookies. These store a so-called session ID, which allows various requests from your browser to be associated with the same session. This enables your computer to be recognised when you return to our website. Session cookies are deleted when you log out or close your browser.
- Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period, which may vary depending on the cookie. You can delete these cookies at any time via your browser’s security settings.
- You can configure your browser settings as you wish and, for example, choose to block third-party cookies or all cookies. Please note that you may not be able to use all the features of this website.
Safety
We employ technical and organisational security measures to protect the data you provide against accidental or deliberate manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons. When personal data is collected and processed, the information is transmitted in encrypted form to prevent misuse of the data by third parties. Our security measures are continuously updated in line with technological developments.
Adjustments
The constant evolution of the internet means that we need to update our privacy policy from time to time. We reserve the right to make such changes at any time.
Usage statistics
When you visit our website, we collect anonymised data on how visitors arrived at our website and how many users have accessed the site (search engine, link, direct entry or advertising). The data is not used to identify individual visitors, but solely to provide quantitative statistics. The statistics cannot be used to track your behaviour on other websites. The data is not linked to other services. If you have disabled cookies in your browser, your visits will not be recorded. Otherwise, these cookies are automatically deleted after seven days.
Third-party content on the website
Our website incorporates content from third-party providers. This may include simple content elements (e.g. news and updates), as well as widgets (features such as booking systems) or, for example, fonts and technical libraries. This also includes Google Fonts. For technical reasons, this is done by the browser loading this content from other servers. In this context, the IP address currently used by your browser and the browser used by the requesting system are transmitted. Please refer to the respective privacy policies of the third-party providers in this regard.

We use Microsoft’s Bing Maps on our website to provide you with an interactive route planner. By using this service, you agree that data will be processed in accordance with the Bing Maps Terms of Use (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/maps/product/terms).
Provided you use the map, e.g. by clicking on our locations listed there, we do not collect any data from you. However, Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399 USA, may collect personal or personally identifiable data as part of Bing Maps. We have no influence over what data Microsoft collects via Bing Maps, nor how Microsoft processes and analyses it. Please therefore refer to the Terms of Use for Bing Maps, available at https://privacy.microsoft.com/de-de/privacystatement/ (click on the ‘Bing’ section there).
